NetXposure Announces XMP Support in Version 4.1 of Image Portal Suite at Henry Stewart DAM Symposium

June 20, 2006

London, UK (PRWEB) June 20, 2006 --

NetXposure, a leading provider of award-winning Digital Asset Management software, announced version 4.1 of Image Portal Standard and Enterprise Editions during the Henry Stewart Digital Asset Management Symposium in London. The new release is highlighted by "XMP Roundtrip" support. NetXposure representatives will be exhibiting from Booth A, along with UK distribution partner Reaction Media Solutions.

"XMP Roundtrip support is critical for organizations that utilize Photoshop to read and write XMP metadata," said Kevin Peoples, NetXposure's Image Portal Product Manager. "This latest version of Image Portal is an example of our ongoing commitment to creative professionals who depend on a seamless, automated workflow."

XMP is Adobe's flexible XML-based embedded metadata system. Roundtrip XMP support ensures that assets imported into the system are synchronized with any configured custom attributes stored in Image Portal's database. Embedded values of custom attributes will be extracted automatically and updated in the database. When those values are changed in Image Portal, the file is rewritten with updated XMP values. Then, when a file is updated or re-imported, the XML values will update the database and remain synchronized.
