All NetXposure DAM solutions come with basic branding functionality.  This includes the ability to add a custom corner logo, a homepage splash screen logo, and the ability to adjust the user interface “theme” colors to match the organizations brand.

For customers that need more advanced branding capability than the basic functionality described above, NetXposure offers the Brand ID Manager. This module allows for the creation of multiple “Brand ID’s” which can be tied to different user groups in the system. Often times, (although not required) Brand ID Manager works in conjunction with the Metadata Manager module and NetXposure’s ACL-based Permissions system.  This allows end users in each of the different user groups to log in, have their own branded look and feel, access only their own assets, and have their own metadata criteria with which those assets are stored  –  all under one system!

For each user group with a unique Brand ID there is a sub-admin user level called “Director”.  The Director has Admin-like capabilities, but only for the Brand ID user group for which they are in charge.  For their respective Brand ID’d user groups, Directors can control logos and color themes, dashboard settings, and add / edit / delete users.

There tend to be two types of customers that need the Brand ID Manager in their DAM solution.  The first is the agency providing DAM as a value added service to multiple customers.  In this case the agency handles all system administration, but creates user groups  for each of their customers that are branded to each customer’s look and feel (logos and theme color).  To each customer, it looks as if they have their own dedicated DAM solution provided by the agency.

The second common use case example is the large organization with multiple, distinct business divisions.  Typically this is a holding company managing multiple brands under one roof.  In this case, each business division is given their own Brand ID (logos and theme color). To the end users in each business division, it looks as if they have their own dedicated DAM solution.  This can be further augmented by setting up Permissions so that each business division sees only their own company-specific assets, yet certain categories of assets everyone needs access to can be shared across all business divisions.

Essentially, the Brand ID Manager is for organizations with multiple, distinct user groups that require a user experience with their own branded look and feel.

  • “Director” user-level has admin capability for their respective branded user group.
  • Provide a dedicated DAM user experience as value added service to customers.
  • Provide a dedicated DAM user experience to distinct business units in the same organization.
