NetXposure sponsor NASCAR 100 Northwest Tour race

PORTLAND, OR - June 1, 2000 -

Internet professional services company NetXposure announced this week its sponsorship participation in the NASCAR 2000 FedEx Championship Series. NetXposure will sponsor the NetXposure 100 NASCAR Northwest Tour Race, to be held Saturday, June 24, 2000 at 4:00pm. This internationally renowned event draws enthusiastic spectators and participants for a full three days of speed-frenzied auto racing.

This portion of the NASCAR 2000 Tour will be held at the Portland International Raceway on June 23-25, 2000. Portland International Raceway is nestled between the snow-capped Mount Hood and the picturesque Oregon coast, just south of the Washington-Oregon State Line and the Columbia River. A 1.96 mile course, PIR is best known for its Festival Curves, at the end of the front straight, which have claimed a fair amount of Champ Cars in years past. PIR can accommodate up to 86,000 spectators.

Other scheduled events during the three-day weekend include the Dayton Indy Lights Race, the American City Racing League Race, and the culminating event, the Freightliner/G.I. Joe's 200, presented by Texaco 2000 FedEx Championship Series Race (112 laps). Previous Champ Car race drivers have included father and son Mario and Michael Andretti, Mark Blundell, and Gil de Ferran. The 1999 FedEx Championship Series Champion was Juan Montoya with Dario Franchitti placing 2nd Overall in the series.
